INK-PRINT COMMUNICATIONS BEGAN WITH THE INVENTION OF THE PRINTING PRESS IN THE MID-1400s. TODAY, ELECTRICAL MANUFACTURERS HAVE SHIFTED FROM SCREEN PRINTING TO OFFSET PRINTING TO MORE CHEAPLY PRODUCE AN INCREASING ARRAY OF CONDUCTIVE INK TRACES.
SPECIFICALLY, A SPECIAL INK THAT CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY IS USED FOR A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS LIKE CIRCUIT BOARDS, WINDSHIELD DEFROSTERS AND WINDOW SECURITY. FUTURE PRINTED CONDUCTOR DEVELOPMENT SHOULD INCLUDE SUPER-THIN WALL SWITCHES, GAUGES AND EVEN A COMPUTER DISPLAY.
WHEN THE REMAINING HEAT AND STRENGTH PROBLEMS OF CONDUCTIVE INK ARE SOLVED, PAPER-THIN INK TRACES FOR A SPEAKER WITH BATTERY AND CONTROLER CAN THEN BE PRINTED IN MASS. THE RESULTS COULD LEAD TO A NEW ALTERNATE FORMAT -- TALKING PAPER.
